The Inspiration behind Pandora's Pet Sitting
Pandora's Purpose
Pandora was diagnosed with diabetes in 2019, not long after discovering she had chronic pancreatitis. It was tricky to navigate as she was never fully regulated, meaning, she needed to be tested twice per day, and her insulin adjusted based on her symptoms and glucose reading.
At the time, my position required me to travel. At first, I could rely on my veterinary team to safely board her, but that changed in 2020 when they stopped offering that service. It was a very unnerving time for both Pandora and me. Not only did I have to take her somewhere else, but she was with folks who did not have a deep understanding of diabetic cats.
Having personally experienced the challenges of finding trusted in-home medical care for my own diabetic cat, I understand how stressful this can be. That is why I started Pandora’s Pet Sitting, because Pandora had a purpose and her purpose lives on today. To share her story of hope while helping other felines in need of specialized in-home care.
